We provide remote administrative assistance services to English-speaking individuals located in Colombia.

For the purposes of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data) and its regulatory decrees, MAKEITEASY LLC acts as the Data Controller (Responsable del Tratamiento) of the personal data collected through this website and our communication channels.

2. Legal Framework

This Privacy Policy is governed by and drafted in accordance with: Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (Statutory Law on Personal Data Protection — Habeas Data), Decree 1377 of 2013 and other applicable regulatory decrees, and, where applicable to users located in other jurisdictions, generally accepted international data protection principles.

3. Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the personal data necessary to evaluate, quote, and manage the administrative services you request. Depending on your case, this may include: full name; nationality and country of passport; passport number and a legible copy of your passport biographical page; date of entry into Colombia and current immigration stamp or permit information; contact details (email address, WhatsApp number, address in Colombia); payment confirmation data processed through our payment provider; and any documents you voluntarily share with us that are required for your specific procedure.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive data (such as health, biometric, political, or religious data) unless a specific government procedure strictly requires a document containing it, and only with your express authorization.

4. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is processed exclusively for the following purposes: (a) to assess your eligibility and provide a personalized quote for the requested service; (b) to prepare, organize, format, and manage the paperwork of your administrative procedure before Migración Colombia; (c) to communicate with you about your case through email and WhatsApp; (d) to process payments for our agency fees through our payment processor; (e) to comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations applicable to MAKEITEASY LLC in Colombia and the United States; and (f) with your separate consent, to send you service updates or relevant information about our services.

5. Express Authorization

By submitting our intake form and checking the mandatory data-processing authorization box, you grant your prior, express, and informed authorization for MAKEITEASY LLC to process your personal data in accordance with this Policy and Colombian Law 1581 of 2012. Without this authorization, we cannot provide our services.

6. International Data Transfer

Because MAKEITEASY LLC is a U.S. company using cloud-based service providers, your data may be stored and processed on servers located outside Colombia, including in the United States. Our service providers include, among others, our website and CRM platform, our payment processor (Stripe), our email provider, and our internal case-management tools. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices. By authorizing this Policy, you expressly authorize the international transfer and transmission of your personal data for the purposes described above, as permitted by Articles 26 and related provisions of Law 1581 of 2012.

7. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical, human, and administrative measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or misuse. Documents are shared through private channels, access is limited to what your case requires, and payment card data is handled exclusively by our certified payment processor — we never store your full card details.

8. Your Rights as Data Subject

Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to: know, update, and rectify your personal data; request proof of the authorization granted; be informed about the use given to your data; file complaints before the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) for violations of the data protection regime; revoke your authorization and/or request the deletion of your data when processing does not respect legal principles, rights, and guarantees; and access your personal data free of charge.

9. Data Retention
